In Worship: We continue our sermon series entitled, “Our Purpose is Love” based on the book “Our Purpose is Love – the Wesleyan Way to Be the Church” by David N. Field. Each week you will be invited to work your way thoughtfully and prayerfully through a study sheet related the sermon. All sermons will be recorded and made available for viewing outside the worship service. Also, this Sunday, we will take up a special offering for our Mobile Meals ministry.
Here again are the questions for September 30th for your reflection:
1. What comes to mind when you hear the word “church”?
2. What does it mean to be a member of a church?
And here are the questions for October 7th for your reflection as we explore three themes that characterize a Church reflecting the love of God. What does it mean to you that the church is referred to as….
- …a Covenant Community?
- …a Sacramental Community?
- …a Community at the Margins?
