In Worship: We will continue our sermon series entitled, “A Living Sacrifice” grounded in the scripture Romans 12:1-5. And, we will continue our three-week ministry campaign, also entitled, “A Living Sacrifice.  During these three weeks, we will celebrate our ministries and mission as well as discern where God is calling each of us to serve and grow in the coming year.

Also this Sunday, we will welcome Rev. Brad Rogers, Senior Pastor of Penn Avenue Redemption Church and take up a special offering for this vital ministry.  You’ll also have a chance to buy some of their delicious coffee! Check out these two links for more information:

Volunteers Needed for New Sanctuary AV! Soon, we will unveil our new Sanctuary audio visual system which will allow us to: record and livestream our worship services, show short videos and other visuals during the worship service, replaced our very old sound system, and provide hearing assistance for those affected with hearing loss. To fully utilize our equipment, we are forming groups of folks who will serve on Sunday mornings as:  camera operator, soundboard operator, presentation computer operator, and director.  Training is currently scheduled for November 17th. If you’re interested in learning more or if you have questions, contact Pastor Marla at associatepastor@wesleyokc.org

Thanksgiving Eve Dinner, Wednesday, November 21, 5-7 p.m. The notion that “no one eats alone” on Thanksgiving is the impetus for this annual gathering.  Last year, Wesley was able to serve over 50 guests at our Thanksgiving Eve dinner thanks to your generous and delicious food offerings!  If you are able to assist this year, please respond to Susan Howard 990-8036, rshoward@aol.com, OR sign up on the sheet outside the West office.   Ready-to-serve food should be in the parlor no later than 4:30 p.m. on the day.  Thank you in advance for supporting this gathering!

Exodus House Thanksgiving Dinner:  Our friends at Exodus House will be celebrating Thanksgiving at Wesley on Tuesday, November 13th at 6:00 PM.  If you would like to help with this meal, contact Sara Schieman at sschieman0531@gmail.com or Fran Parkhill at jfranparkhill@gmail.com. ALSO, we are collecting gently used Christmas decorations that residents can select from during the meal to decorate their apartment.  If you have Christmas decorations to donate, leave you contribution in the Quilt Room on Level 1.
