In Worship: We continue our Worship series entitled: “Dwell”. In the weeks ahead, we will explore several narratives from the Old Testament with an eye to discerning what provides a solid foundation and structure for “God’s house” – which stands not only for God’s Sanctuary but for the people called by God’s name. This week: Dwell:  Pillar of Patience.  And, each week in Worship we’ll see a new short video highlighting the Stories of Faith at Wesley Church.

Skyline Urban Ministry Christmas Grace Starts Sunday, 11/10!
We are excited to partners with our friends at Skyline to provide Christmas gifts for the members of two families!  These families were referred by their children’s school and their need for assistance with Christmas gifts has been authenticated by the folks at Skyline.

Beginning on Sunday 11/10, you can select a family member from our Giving  Tree to shop for!  Below, you’ll see a preview of the family members and their suggestions.

Here are some important details from our friends at Skyline:
1. Please send ONLY NEW GIFTS.
2. Please include batteries when needed by taping them to the gift BEFORE wrapping the gift.
3. Please wrap all gifts and label by FIRST NAME.
4. Please bring all gifts to Wesley Church no later than Tuesday, December 3rd.

The wish list provides gift suggestions for each person in the family and you are not required to purchase everything on this list. We do ask that you provide a minimum of one gift per family member and encourage you to do more if you can. The gifts you provide will likely be the only gifts the family will receive.

Wesley Pledge Pledge Campaign:  Stories of Faith … the Story Continues … As we continue to share stories of faith from our community, we acknowledge that the story needs your faithful financial support to continue.  As a part of the Wesley faith community, we ask that you prayerfully consider your financial gift to Wesley in the coming year and fill out a 2020 Pledge Campaign card on or before Sunday, November 24, 2019.  Your estimate of giving will help us fine tune our 2020 budget of mission and ministry at Wesley.

Volunteers and Christmas Decorations for Exodus House: Our friends at Exodus House will be celebrating Thanksgiving at Wesley on Wednesday, November 13th at 6:00 PM.  If you would like to help with this meal, contact Sara Schieman at or Fran Parkhill at

ALSO, we are collecting gently used Christmas decorations that residents can select from during the meal to decorate their apartment.  If you have Christmas decorations to donate, leave you contribution in the West office or on the STAGE in the Fellowship Hall.

Share the Warmth!  As temperatures fall, some of our neighbors need warm clothing.  If you have coats, jackets, gloves, hats or other warm clothing you would like to donate to our community, please hang your donation on the rack outside the West office.
