In Worship: This week, we will welcome Rev. Derrek Belase, Director of Discipleship for the Oklahoma Conference of the United Methodist Church.  He will conclude our sermon series entitled, Our Purpose is Love with the message: A Community Defined.

Here again are the questions for October 28st for your reflection:

  1. How can conflict became an opportunity for spiritual growth?
  2. What is our proper response to people with whom we disagree?
  3. What have you learned from this series?
  4. Where do you see disciples being made and the world being transformed because of the United Methodist Church?

Thanksgiving Eve Dinner, Wednesday, November 21, 5-7 p.m. The notion that “no one eats alone” on Thanksgiving is  the impetus for this annual gathering.  Last year, Wesley was able to serve over 40 guests at our Thanksgiving Eve dinner thanks to your generous and delicious food offerings!  If you are able to assist this year, please respond to Susan Howard 990- 8036, rshoward@aol.com, OR sign up on the sheet outside the West office.   Ready-to-serve food should be in the parlor no later than 4:30 p.m. on the day.  Thank you in advance for supporting this gathering!

Exodus House Thanksgiving Dinner:  Our friends at Exodus House will be celebrating Thanksgiving at Wesley on Tuesday, November 13th at 6:00 PM.  If you would like to help with this meal, contact Sara Schieman at sschieman0531@gmail.com or Fran Parkhill at jfranparkhill@gmail.com.
