Advent Calendar and Advent Pack:
As we continue this Advent season, we invite you journey with the Wesley community of faith by following our Advent calendar of suggested Scripture and prayer requests.  And, if you or your family would like a lot of great ideas for Advent practices and prayers, be sure to pick up an Advent family pack!

Choir Scholarships:
Did you know that 10 of the OCU students who are part of the Wesley Sanctuary Choir receive a choir scholarship from Wesley Church?  These gifted students are music and musical theater majors at OCU and support themselves, in part, by a small scholarship they receive from Wesley Church.  Each student receiving the scholarship auditioned and receives $50 a week for a 2 hour practice each Wednesday night and 1 ½ hours on Sunday morning. This Sunday, we’ll take up a special offering for our choir scholarship fund.  And, you can make a donation at any time to the fund by simply marking your donation “choir scholarships.”

Mobile Meals Christmas Gifts and Cards:
Sometimes Christmas is not a joyous time for homebound seniors. So, this year our Outreach team is preparing gift baskets for each of our 19 Mobile Meals recipients.  You can help by writing Christmas cards for them – a table will be available at our Sunday lunch for the next two weeks –  OR make a financial donation to Outreach at Wesley.

Hearing Assisted Devices – Support Team:
Our new fabulous sound system includes hearing assisted devices – both over the ear and directly into T-coil equipped hearing aids. To take care of this new equipment, we are asking for one or two volunteers who can distribute, collect, and store the devices for Worship each Sunday.  If you can help, contact Pastor Marla at

Christmas Poinsettias:
Between now and December 9th, you are invited to purchase poinsettias to adorn the Sanctuary during the Christmas season.  Price is $15 and poinsettias can be donated in memory of or in honor of someone. Poinsettias can be taken home and enjoyed after the Christmas Eve Worship service on Monday, December 24th.

Christmas Eve at Wesley:
Wesley will again host a Christmas Eve dinner at 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 24 in the Fellowship Hall for our friends, neighbors, and congregation.  If you are able to bring a crock pot of soup/stew/chili/pasta (anything that can be served in a bowl) or crackers/cornbread/bread or desserts, please sign up at the West office. Volunteers to help serve and clean up that night would also be appreciated.

Dinner will be followed by our Christmas Eve Candlelight service at 7 p.m.
