Wesley on the Move: December 8 – December 15

In Worship: Advent continues and we pause worship series “Sacred” this week as our wonderful Sanctuary Choir leads us in Worship with special music for the season!

And, each week we need photos of where you see the sacred in everyday life.  Please email them to Nicholas Szabo at av@wesleyokc.org.  They’ll be shown each Sunday during the Threshold Moment!

Choir Scholarships: Did you know that 8 of the OCU students who are part of the Wesley Sanctuary Choir receive a choir scholarship from Wesley Church?  These gifted students are music and musical theater majors at OCU and support themselves, in part, by a small scholarship they receive from Wesley Church.  Each student receiving the scholarship auditioned and receives $50 a week for a 2 hour practice each Wednesday night and 1 ½ hours on Sunday morning. This Sunday, we’ll take up a special offering for our choir scholarship fund.  And, you can make a donation at any time to the fund by simply marking your donation “choir scholarships.”

Toilet Paper Drive for Skyline Food Pantry Clients!  Toilet paper is certainly a needed item but is sometimes hard to buy when families and individuals live on a limited income.  So, throughout December, we will be collecting toilet paper for our neighbors who shop the Skyline Food Pantry.  Please leave your donation in the Sanctuary.

Christmas Poinsettias: Between now and December 10th, you are invited to purchase poinsettias to adorn the Sanctuary during the Christmas season. Price is $15 and poinsettias can be donated in memory of or in honor of someone. Poinsettias can be taken home and enjoyed after the Christmas Eve Worship service on Monday, December 24th.

Toothpick Sunday Lunch:  On December 22^nd, bring your favorite food that is served on a toothpick (think appetizer) for lunch!!
