Wesley on the Move January 12th – January 19th

In Worship: We will conclude our Advent/Christmas Worship series entitled, “Sacred: Finding the Holy in the Everyday.”  The word “sacred” points to something dedicated as “holy” and “set apart.” Far too often, the sacred becomes obscured by the secular. This week: “Sacred Space”.

New Year, New Opportunities!  As 2020 commences, it’s a great time to serve in new ways on Sunday morning!  Specifically, to be part of the AV team or the greeting team!  Contact Nicholas Szabo at av@wesleyokc.org for more information!

Fellowship in Christ:  Our fellowship in Christ grows as we connect with one another.  Two important ways that we do that are by 1) wearing our name tag each Sunday, and 2) talking with one another at Sunday lunch.  Beginning on Sunday, YOU can build community at Wesley by wearing your name tag and sitting with someone new at lunch! If you need a name tag, please write your name down on the pad next to the name tags on the table outside the sanctuary.

Sunday Lunch Info From Jean Hendrickson:  As this year’s coordinator for the Sunday Community Lunches, I want to express my deep gratitude for each of you. Our lunches have continued the opportunities we have to be in community with one another, and many beautiful friendships and relationships have blossomed during our time together. Community Breakfast in January: Our first Guy Ramsey “Breakfast on Us” community breakfast of 2020 is scheduled for Saturday, January 25 from 9-11 am. You can volunteer to help or donate an item such as: eggs, juice, bread, fruit or milk. A sign-up sheet is available outside the main (West) office.

Women’s Boutique News:  The volunteers staffing the women’s boutique would like to thank those donating women’s clothes!  Shoppers are needed!  Please tell your family and friends!  The women’s boutique is open each Tuesday from 10 AM – 2 PM.  All items are $1 and all proceeds go to mission work!
